CoWood is entitled to carry the Rainforest Alliance logo. The Rainforest Alliance fights the deforestation of the earth.

CoWood produces its coconut tree wood in Indonesia. In the past, coconut trees were mainly grown for its nuts. The trees themselves were not being used, until it was discovered that the wood has excellent qualities. Coconut trees became useful in another way: its waste wood turned out to be an exclusive raw material. The production of coconut tree wood does not harm primeval forests.
